This morning after Evan woke up he came and sat on my lap on the couch. He was sitting there all snuggled up and cozy. Apparently, though, his mind was somewhere else. What came out of his mouth was, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Time for candy!"

Dear Evan, I can relate to that "urge", only I'd rather have my chocolate just a little later in the day, like maybe 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon! Grandma

Hey, Karissa had nothing to do with that last comment. (I'm still learning how to do this blog thing). It's past 12:30 in the morning...Karissa's not even home yet!? I just awoke from my sleep, and somehow, realized that sleep was "far from me", so I decided to check Karen's blog again. (It seems there might just be a few too many changes going on in this family right now to "enjoy my regular sleep habits") Karissa just started her last semester of college, but is living at home...she's used to getting to bed late, but always before, it's been in her college dorm, not her Mom's house...hmmm...and then there's youngest daughter Kirsten, who's facing the newness of college life...the most recent change in our family (36 hours ago) is Karissa's "finally!?" officially engaged, and plans to get married and move to (faraway) Harper, Kansas, in 5 short months! The middle of the night is not the best time for this mother to think about all that!...good exciting, changes...but, as the saying goes, "once a Mom, always a Mom!" So, as you all know, good change can also be "bitter-sweet"...well,it's 1:00, and "Karissa Pooh" just walked in the door... Gloria
